Happy New Year

The last couple of days of 2014 were very calm for me outwardly but inwardly a lot was going on… it started when I heard the words ‘Tiny, you are underachieving’ for the billionth time…
I started to reflect on the year 2014- and all the decisions I made and how different the year was from previous years… then I heard very bad news- my friend’s aunt died… I can see some people rolling their eyes thinking people die every day Tiny- ok here is the thing- the aunty that died, died with just about two weeks left to her wedding day!!!! That means all preparations would have been finalised, she would have been practising her new signature etc… I cannot begin to comprehend how her family and friends must be feeling and they have my deepest condolences.

This got me thinking- God forbid I should leave "before my time"- what do I want my last thoughts to be… hmmmm one can never know what one will think about- but I know I do not want to be laying there wondering  if I had just done the way I really wanted to- I know I do not want to leave this earth feeling unfulfilled- I know I want to leave a mark- mine- no matter how tiny, on this earth, before I leave.

For this reason my New Year resolution this year, is simply this- to live my life in such a way that when I leave- whenever that is- I can look back and feel proud of myself…

So this year ask yourself the necessary questions, give yourself truthful answers and start taking steps towards becoming a better you.
